A Conversation: Abita
Video
Description

Bringing to life a conversation I had with my grandmother, Abita, about her opinions on the Metro. During a visit to Boston, she mentioned how the Metro made her feel safe and free. Already exploring the intersection between designed systems and emotion, I saw this as a perfect example of it and decided to delve deeper into her thought process.

The result is a 2:25-minute intimate video that employs minimal motion gestures to allow for my grandmother’s voice and the sounds of the Metro to be accentuated. Moreover, I play with speed and contrasting colors to introduce a sense of dynamism to the narrative.
